Who are we?
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to utilizing comics to enrich communities.
Comics are among, if not the best, educational tools we have. Our goal is to use comics to promote literacy and thus demonstrate the positive impact they can have. Right now we are working on Comicopia Online, (which we hope to launch soon) a site that will serialize all-ages comics. We also hope to distribute an anthology of the site's best material to schoolchildren across Canada and the US for free. By giving them entertaing, easy to read material, we hope to encourage children to spend more time reading. This is just one of many ways we plan to use comics to enrich our communities.

Founder and Director
Shishio is the founder and director of Comics For Communities. He loves nothing more than a good comic.
Joel Fagin
Website Designer and Consultant
Joel Fagin is responsible for designing the Comicopia Online website. In addition, he works closely with Shishio to achieve the group's goals.

Artis provides all the graphics and designs we use on our sites, flyers, business cards, etc.
